Hello and happy Sunday, everyone!

Last night, I went with some friends to go see “Rent” at the Hollywood Bowl. It was a particularly awesome production because it was directed by Neil Patrick Harris (my hero!) and starred such big names as Wayne Brady, Vanessa Hudgens and Nicole Scherzinger (from the Pussycat Dolls).

This was also my first time at the Hollywood Bowl, which was exciting in itself.

We got there pretty early, so we settled into our seats and broke into our dinners  and took in the views while it was still light out.

Another close-up of the Hollywood Sign….

My dinner was the leftovers from yesterday’s Doughboys Caprese Sandwich, some sugar snap peas and some (more) kryptonite chips.

None of us girls had ever been to the Hollywood Bowl before and, unfortunately, none of us thought ahead to dress more warmly for the event. Oh well, lesson learned. Luckily for Claire, her boyfriend had planned ahead, so she had a blazer to wear for most of the show.

While waiting for the show to start, we took some pictures.

Aren’t they gorgeous?

Claire and Mike, the cutest couple ever:

And, last but not least, Claire and me:

Finally, the lights dimmed…

…and the show began!

And that’s the best picture that I have of the show. 🙂 We were far away and I just didn’t really feel like spending the show focusing on getting a good picture.

We had a blast. Nicole was the highlight of the entire show – she rocked it as Maureen! – and Vanessa wasn’t great (especially at the beginning), but she warmed up into it for the most part. Wayne Brady also did a great job.

Off to get a coffee and run the rest of my weekend errands!
